The Blue King is the ruler of the Blue Kingdom and the father of Princess Muffintop. When his daughter ate the Cake, he and the Red King agreed that it must be cursed and learned from the Great Oracle that the only way to break the curse was for the princess to kiss a prince. When Prince Albert announced he was seeking a bride the Red King had Princess Muffintop kidnapped to avoid Prince Albert marrying her. In retaliation, the Blue King had Princess Plump kidnapped. This started a long war between the two kingdoms that the Blue Kingdom eventually lost.
